Nath Owen, the artist:
From an early age I have enjoyed art, experimenting with many mediums including acrylics and watercolours before falling in love with the traditional style of pencil and charcoal, practising various styles of human portraiture.
It wasn't until relocating to Scotland in 2010 and becoming involved with horses that I began to study these superb animals and began to develop my own style, capturing the likeness and soul of every individual horse as a lifelong memory for its owner,
Now, 10 years later, working from my home studio overlooking the stunning loch leven, I produce portraits for customers all over the world, mainly concentrating on equestrian portraits although I do accept commissions for treasured family pets.
When I'm not in the studio I am privileged to be working with racehorses at Scotlands leading national hunt yard, allowing me to work along side some of the finest racehorses and to see some of my subjects in action.
Thanks for visiting.
